Welcome to Sunland Motel

Sunland Motel, located at 465 W Miracle Mile in Tucson, Arizona, offers a distinctive stay that blends nostalgic charm with essential comforts. This modest, two-story motel boasts a rated 2.7 but reveals much more upon a closer look. Its retro vibe—characterized by dated yet well-maintained architecture—makes it stand out among Tucson’s budget accommodations.

Guests frequently mention the friendly and accommodating innkeeper who adds a personal touch, often going out of their way to provide flexible weekly and monthly rental options. This level of service makes Sunland Motel more than just a place to sleep; it becomes a small community hub for travelers who appreciate sincerity over luxury. The frequent check-ins might feel a bit intrusive for some, but they reflect genuine concern for guest comfort and safety, a rare quality in comparable establishments.

The motel shines with its clean rooms and reliable amenities like free Wi-Fi and free parking, though it forgoes extras such as a pool, restaurant, or fitness center. This simplicity aligns well with guests seeking a straightforward, budget-friendly lodging experience without unnecessary frills. The location itself is practical, nestled in a low-key area near Jacinto Park, providing easy access to modest local attractions like basketball courts and quiet neighborhood strolls.

Sunland Motel’s true appeal lies in its authentic retro spirit and approachable atmosphere. It may not satisfy those craving modern luxury, but for travelers who value character, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality, it offers a uniquely comforting stay. In the landscape of Tucson’s lodging options, Sunland Motel stands as a humble yet memorable choice.

This was a great place to stay. Older buildings with a lot of character and VERY clean. The innkeeper is super nice and accommodating. A bit intrusive with knocking late evening and early morning to check on in on us, but it is nice that he is concerned about the comfort of his guests. I would absolutely stay again a and recommend others to book their stay here as well
